Property 3

The opposite sides of the parallelogram are equal in length and its diagonals bisect each other.

Symbolic Representation


In the opposite figure,

∵ ABCD is a parallelogram and

    M is the intersection point of its diagonals.

∴  AB = DC                              (two opposite sides)

    BC = AD                              (two opposite sides)
 
    AM = MC                       (M is the midpoint of AC)

    BM = MD                       (M is the midpoint of BD)
