diffrence in locus of two lines

find the locus of mid point of the portion of the line x cos(a)+ysin(a)=p here p is some constant.
Sir its locus by calculation is p2(x 2+y2)=4 (x 2 )(y^2)
but locus of mid point of the portion of the line ax+by=c is a circle .
both are straight lines then why this happening..
Sir can we see the locus .?
regards and thanks in advance
