Default settings - printing background - Bugs in 2.1

How can I save new default settings for my working environment? E.g. window size, turning of labeling by default, default line style etc.?

When I print a construction, or export to PDF, the background colour is replaced with white. Which is just fine, since you don't want the default grey background to show up in prints or documents. But it should be a matter of choice. Maybe I want a soft yellow backdrop to my construction? Can that be done?

Is this support forum the right place to discuss bugs in the beta-version of Cinderella 2.1? Or should we wait for the official release? Two things I noticed (build 1167):

  • When activating the Select tool after using the Translate View tool the cursor remains locked to the crossed double arrow symbol (I can select, but the cursor doesn't show its usual single arrow form). The problem doesn't occur when using another tool in between.

  • The Undo tool doesn't return objects to their previous state after performing a global edit of their appearance properties. E.g. accidentaly selecting all points and changing their size makes all pointsizes the same. It seems I can't undo this action.

Dirk,

there is a setting "save defaults" in the general settings panel of the inspector. Just check it and the defaults will be saved from start to start.

Also in the Inspector there is a setting to print the background in PDF export. Just check to see the background.

The first bug you reported has been fixed in the latest beta (as several others), and I will investigate the second one.

Thanks a lot for the feedback
Ulli
