Can labels be deleted?

Hello, can the labels, measurement tags, be deleted after a drawing is done or do you have to stop their use in the very beginning of the drawing instead? Let me know please, thanks a lot.

slangen,

yes, you can delete them later, of course. Labels can be deleted using the Inspector. Measurement tags are texts and can be deleted using the delete action described in the General Options section of the manual.

Speaking of labels - I notice that when you create, for example, an angle measurement and then delete its label then the angle measurement item doesn't disappear from the construction window. If you do it a lot I suppose it begins to add up. So, minor suggestion: Delete the associated item when a label is deleted. — Dave

Deleting measurements

David,

you are right - they are not deleted. But I don't know whether we should - for example, if you use the angle measurement in CindyScript (or intend to) it should stay. So, because we cannot know what the user plans to do, we prefer to leave it in the construction until it is explicitely deleted.

Rianna,

sure, you can delete them: just select an element, open the inspector, choose the appearance tab and de-select the "labeled" checkbox in the element.

See Inspecting Appearance.

PS: I tried to fix the "reply problem" for the forums, I hope it'll work.
